Board members are elected at large by the voters of the
District to four-year terms of office and, as a Board, represent
the entire District. The Board of Trustees acts as a unit;
an individual member has no authority to act alone.
The Board chooses and employs a Superintendent
of Schools to administer the educational program within
controlling laws and local district policy which is set
by the Board. The Board acts upon recommendations made by
the Superintendent, including ratification of the employment
of staff.
