Q.  What are the dates for Open Enrollment?

A.  January 7 – January 24, 2014.

 

Q.  Where do I obtain an application?

A.  At the school of residence.

 

Q.  If I do not live in the FJUHSD attendance area, can I apply for Open Enrollment?

A.  No, you must be a resident of FJUHSD. 

 

Q.  If my current student is in 8th grade and attending a private school can we apply?

A.  Yes, only if you are a resident of FJUHSD.

 

Q.  When will I be notified if I have been accepted to my school of choice?

A.  The end of February.

 

Q.  Will I be guaranteed acceptance into my school of choice?

A.  No, acceptance is based on the number of open spaces available at each high school.

 

Q.  Is Open Enrollment first-come-first-serve?

A.  No, all applications will be placed in a lottery and will be chosen at random if space is not available.

 

Q.  Can I apply for more than one school?

A.  No, if more than one application is received for a student, both applications will be voided and student will have to attend their school of residence.

 

Q.  What documentation do I need to bring when applying for open enrollment?

A.  Utility bill (gas, water, and electricity), final escrow documentation, or rental agreement.  

 

Q.  Who may complete application?

A.  Parent and or legal guardian.

 

Q.  Can the application be faxed, mailed, or emailed?

A.  No, all applications must be completed in person at the school of residence.
